There was a time when it takes days, week’s sometime months for a letter or a message to reach across the countries. People used to mail their hard copy of pictures for their beloved one's to see it. Long distance calls were so expensive, people used to record their voices in an audio cassette and send it to their families. Who lives far away from them? But time changes and communication was becoming easy due to fast phase work by mailing companies . A sudden change and high improvement in science within 10-20 years ago, human came up with more accurate and convenient way of communication. The biggest achievement that human achieve was the, Internet. The internet facility makes everyone’s life easy. People can expand their business on a fast phase and with complete security and accuracy. For student outside the class room internet is their instructor. People can browse anything on internet from anywhere. They can communicate with each other via email, chat, voice chat, web cam chat. Internet help's people to expand their social gathering and by knowing other culture and traditions one can find similarities. Due to vast verity of facilities from internet, global communication is known in reach for every human being, but with advantages and disadvantages.
The advantages of internet are so much, that all of them are hard to explain. But if we take daily life example from housewives to business man, everyone use internet for their own purpose. A housewife use internet to learn new cooking recepies, home improvement and other qualities that a housewife should have. As a student one can use internet for its studies. Like I did, by typing a “Global Communication" in the search engine of the worlds highly recommended web site “www.google.com". In few seconds I got more than 3000 results. School, colleges and universities have their own websites, which helps the students to get the answers they want to know related to financial, courses, major and the campus environment. As an international student I also got admission in a university via- internet, by emailing my documents to the university that I want it to get admission and by making online payments, I got my financial requirements paid. So, most of the students do that and it saves your time and beneficial for education sectors. On the other hand when it comes to business, web sites are the biggest tool one has to display their items for sale. Due to business through web sites it is secure fast and also more satisfying for the buyers. As a buyer one can read the views posted by previous customers for the items they had bought or will bought. Nowadays people from all around the world usually have option either chat, voice chat or web cam chat due to this facility one can see and hear their beloved one's no matter how far are they. Live business meeting’s can be done across the countries via internet.
Where there is an advantage of something, surely there is a disadvantage. Although internet is a biggest achivement for the success of human kind, but on the other hand its destroying the new generation physically and mentally. During the free time people are mostly browsing internet, rather doing any physical activity. Children are less involve in outdoor activities. According to a web site one fifth of children with home computers use them to access the Internet (U.S. Census Bureau, 1997). There is a chance that someone might get bank corrupt within couple of seconds, if someone hack their profile or back account. Personal information that is given on popular websites such as face book, it is like a key access to your personal information for a hacker. One might stole your picture and can use it as a fake identity. Allot of people are made fool by different websites. The trick they use is simply sending a spam to you which says that " you are today’s million dollar winner" all you have to do is pay the charge for shipping and mailing, once you gave your credit card number it took a second for hackers to misuse it. The memorizing ability of most children becomes weaker because they know that they can search for it again and again. By the continuous use of computer the ultra violet rays coming out from the screen damages the eyes badly. university and college students waste allot of time in browsing internet on most popular web sites such as face book, twitter, YouTube etc. During the examination time they suffer because they already wasted their allot of study time on internet and now it is the time who is wasting them.
In conclusion internet is the best but as well as the worst thing happen for human kind. Having awesome and accurate technology surely made the human life easy and for its upcoming generations. But everything that have an advantage, surely have disadvantage. It is totally depended on ones mentality that how they use it.
